Relaxation

Time to relaxation is important.

I think we all agree on that. Though for some of us it can be hard to find the time to relax during the day and eventually when we have the time maybe it is difficult to actually relax…

The month of May has been an extremely busy time for me. Somehow things are running very fast at the moment – both at work and in private life.

Even with the lovely holidays we have had in Denmark during the last month or so I have felt it was hard to find time for myself and have some relaxing moments.

Breathing
When I have very little time I use breathing as a technique to quite my mind and relax my body. I simply sit quietly and focus on my breathing in and out – nothing else – until I find myself at peace. This exercise is a quick way to relaxation.

Go for a walk
Time in nature also brings me peace. It could be as simple as going for a walk everyday. That is what I do. When I go for a walk I spent around 30 minuttes walking, so this exercise requires more time than my breathing exercise.

Gardening
We have been gardening a lot this spring and gardening counts as spending time in nature, so this is another good way to relax for me.

Also we have placed a hammock outside now. It is very relaxing to enjoy a break in the hammock.

Moreover we have had the pleasure to place a swing set with two swings in our garden. One of them a baby swing for our two year old grandchild. She likes to swing and enjoys when I am next to her on my own swing. This has been great fun and relaxing too.

Lifearea 1 and 9 – focus
In times with many things happening around us I still recommend focusing on lifearea 1 and 9.

Lifearea 1 is important because it is connected with our path in life – our life’s journey so to speak. And lifearea 9 is connected with our feeling of fulfillment and success in life.

Update
By the way an update of my e-book from 2010 ‘5 tips to a better health and more well-being’ is on its way in the Danish version ‘5 tips til bedre helbred og mere velvære med Feng Shui’. I’ll let you know when it is ready for release.

I hope you find time to relax and enjoy your time.

Whishing you a very good Whitsun.
